Civil Process
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Civil Process Division carries out the Sheriff’s statutory responsibility for service of process and execution of writs. Civil process documents originate from the courts, governmental agencies, and private attorneys throughout Arkansas and the United States.

Services
Civil Process Deputies serve civil process papers in the manner prescribed by law. It is the goal of the Van Buren County Sheriff Office to serve all civil process in a reasonable and timely manner while maintaining an impartial position between the involved parties. Civil process deputies cannot utilize criminal investigative tactics while preforming this function; therefore, service cannot be guaranteed.
Civil process includes handling and serving legal papers and court documents, such as:
- Divorce
- Eviction
- Notices
- Subpoena
- Summons
- Writs
Fees
All fees are payable upon request along with submission of papers to be served:
$50 for the Following:
- Complaints
- Notices
- Orders
- Subpoena Summons
- Summons
- Writs of Possession
$120 for the following:
- Writs of Execution
