On October the 29th, 2022 deputies were patrolling Hwy 336 West. There was a truck parked halfway in the road. The truck then started driving and stopped in the middle of the road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the truck and the driver was identified as Ray Edwards of Quitman.
Edwards was having trouble walking and could not following direction’s the deputy gave him. Edwards was arrested and charged with DWI and he refused to take a chemical test for the deputy, so he was charged with that also.
ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
