Burt Bradley was born July 26, 1881 to Ant and Mary Etta Sanders Bradley. Mr. Bradley was sheriff-collector from 1923-1926 and game warden from 1940-1944. He was the first administrator of Rural Resettlement in the county, later named Farmers Home Administration. He was Van Buren County Representative to the General Assembly from 1948 until his death. He married Edna Lee Bowling on January 10, 1920 and they raised three sons. Mr. Bradley died November 29, 1951 and is buried in the Clinton Cemetery beside his wife. His name on World War I and World War II drafts is listed as Burton Bradley.
