Damascus man arrested in after Fleeing in Clinton.

On September 15tt, 2016, Clinton City Police Officers, assisted by Van Buren County Deputies, made a traffic stop in Clinton. During the stop and while gathering information from the occupants, Clinton Police Officers found the passenger was giving law enforcement a false name. During the investigation by Clinton Police Officers, the passenger took off on foot fleeing. A short time later a Van Buren County Deputy was able to catch the fleeing suspect near Arkansas Telephone Company. Clinton Police Officers identified the subject as 28 year old James W. Moss 3rd of Damascus. Officers found on Moss person illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Moss is being charged with felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, felony Furnishing Prohibited Articles to a Detention Facility, misdemeanor Possession of Controlled Substance, misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Criminal Impersonation, and misdemeanor Fleeing on Foot. Moss also has an Arkansas Department of correction Parole Hold. Moss is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center awaiting a first appearance.
